Lamiya ALIYEVA, MD is a medical genetics specialist. Her clinical work focuses on evaluation of hereditary conditions, genetic counseling and interpretation of genetic test results for the individual.

She graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University Faculty of Medicine in 2014. From 2011 to 2014 she worked as an assistant doctor at a pediatric research institute in Baku.

From 2016 to 2020 she trained as a research assistant in the Department of Medical Genetics at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine and completed the specialty in 2020. Since 2021 she has practiced at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital.

Published work includes BRCA variation risk models in breast cancer, MEFV mutations in familial Mediterranean fever, lysinuric protein intolerance with HOIP deficiency, and genotype–phenotype correlation in osteogenesis imperfecta.
